Basil Solomon is a writer, director, actor, and editor. He was born and raised in Kuwait. He is also a citizen of Lebanon.
He recently earned his Master’s Degree in Film Production at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He previously earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Radio and Television from Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait.
Basil began to be passionate about film when he was eleven years old, after watching Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey. During his school and college years, he directed 5 short films and wrote 5 finished scripts.
While studying at Full Sail University, Basil served as the main film Editor and First Assistant Cameraman on his thesis film Operation Coffee, which had a crew of 48. He also served as Production Assistant on multiple Full Sail student projects such as The Edge and Killer Clown. Previously, he worked with multiple media production companies to produce over 30 social media ads for clients and coporations.
Basil plans to direct short films and showcase them in film festivals across the nation. He also plans to pursue his dreams in LA.
